11 1500 UT July 09 Horta 1576 nm.
After another very uncomfortable night with confused cross seas and winds up
to 30 knots, thee clouds finally broke up a little later this morning. We
still wait for the promised southerly winds. However, even with these
headwinds, the Gulf Stream remains evident with a helping hand of over 2
knots at times. The water temperature has surprised us, it now being 29
degrees C. Paul saw some flying fish and we have managed to partake of food
at last although it remains very choppy seas. No shipping in last 24 hours.
