Just woken coastguard to clear us in. Time for a celebratory bowl of museli.
Had to slow down overnight to avoid arriving in the atols in the dark - so the irony of having to use the engine to slow us as we had too much speed under sail was not lost!!
An interesting arrival at Uligan - and restrictions on the duration of the sailing permit (we want 65 days they will issue a maximum of 44 days) means that when Helen arrives instead of a leisurely sail to the southern atol of Gan, we will now have to make an impromptu visit to Cochin!! Effectively we need to leave the Maldives and come back again and means we have to get a stamp from another port of entry to prove we have left - leaving India or Sri Lanka as options and India is closer!!
