Title: homeward bound!

Well.....It has taken us this long to finally get Mollie 'containerised'!  We spent a hectic week getting her dismantled and repacked for travelling.  The generator had to be removed as it was too long with it on.  The roofbox (with contents), spare wheel (2nd spare), fuel cans and the actual roofrack all had to be removed as it was too high with them on!  Finally the air had to be let out of the tyres for loading to fit in the container!!  The company - Biddulphs were really helpful and patient - they are well used to shipping such precious items!!  It was quite sad that we felt upset parting with her - she has been a big part of our lives for the last 15mths!  We miss her!  Please pray that she will reach NI safely!
Apart from Mollie we have been trying to rest some before heading home.  The weather has been much warmer than at home - is going to be a big shock to our system when we return.  After Mollie was sorted we booked our flight home - we arrive on 6th November DV.  We had some difficulty getting a connecting flight to Belfast but with a bit of juggling managed to find one on the same day as we arrived from SA.  Please pray that we will arrive in NI safely too!
We continue to read a lot and this has been one of our favourite relaxations - no doubt you will hear about some of these books in due course!  Of course it will be 'strange' to be back home and will take time to readjust but we have no regrets about having done the drive and have learned so much - we were privileged to be able to do it.
When I can I will compile a few pictures for the blog so that you can catch a glimpse of what it was like - please be patient!
So... I guess this is farewell from Africa - thank you for travelling with us.  Hope you enjoyed the trip!
Love and God Bless
Hester and Stephen
