Hi Everybody,
Had some good wind yesterday 27kts but close hauled
so very wet and bumpy ride. Calmed a little overnight so everybody got some
sleep and most of us managed a shower this morning. Now covered 550 miles so
going well. Would like to get further east but not possible at
present.
russ been feeling a bit rough the last
couple of days being in bow cabin was always a gamble its like being in a
wrestling match and getting body slammed over and over
again the only thing that made me feel better was
catching a marlin it was jumping out of the water put up a great fight me and
Adam got it to the back of the boat when first it snapped the reel from the rod
then just as I got the gaff the rod snapped and cut the line the best fish I
ever (caught) nearly c all soon
Pam and all Good night with some ground made too.
Thinking about the easterly turn but also have to consider where the weather
systems coming across from Florida way are travelling. Anyone looking up
passageweather could supplement our grib files. Eating well sleeping??? Still
sunny. Dick
Last few days been a bit uncomfortable, felt off
yesterday think it was due to dehy dration. As with russ absolutely gutted
about the marlin :(
We've named it jack sparrow, (the one that got
away) and the boat the black pearl (challenge bp), hopefully our luck will
change soon and bring us some fat fish!
hope all is well at home, see you all
later.
Hi Pat again. The fisherman`s tale about the Marlin
are true-it must have been about 4ft. No fish pie lastnight. Maybe
today.About a quarter of total distance tavelled and still going well.Hope
things OK at home.Tony`s had some good news from Mathew -he`so on his way home
to start his course. Mike.
