Hi Everybody,
Had steady sail all day yesterday but lost the wind
about 10pm. Motoring to get east of the high pressure.
The fish have avoided us so far. Yesterday was more
eventful, hooked a nice sized dorado but the wire trace gave way and dinner
escaped. I did managed to land one fish on deck though, it wasn't very big
or impressive but it is the first of the trip. found a flying fish on deck this
morning, that's currently being used as dead bait, should catch us some corkers.
Other than the fishing everything else is pretty good. Adam X
Hi Pam and all Quiet night made turn to home!! A
little way to go yet though I'm told. Pam how did Sian's diss go as I forgot to
ask before. Wind being awkward as usual coming from the direction of
destination - what a surprise but looks as if it may help us later today.
Boat all fine and shipshape - Russ continues to produce great food for us (I did
the peeling). Thanks for all the weather info - Ian's on the case too.
Were balancing the high winds too far north against the lighter ones at our
position. Bye for now Keep the txts coming Dick
Hello again. Now motoring gently with a light
wind on the nose.Weather fine but cooler than of late. Very good cottage pie
last night courtesy of Russ good plain cooking after my own heart.Currently
working my way through Andrew Robson, but whether anything will stick is another
matter. No fish so far today but we`re all hopeful of a fish pie ere long. Any
news re office- the sat phone works. Hope all well with you. Mike.
Hi. Still enjoying the voyage very much. We have
had variable weather but nothing too daunting. Happy to hear that you are
homeward bound Matthew, hope you are not kept waiting too long for a flight.
There is lots of fishing going on but so far the fish are outwitting the
fishermen, it does seem to be a one sided contest!!
Matthew when you get home could you please check
for flights from the Azores to UK, preferably Manchester, maybe around the 16th
or 17th April. Can't confirm dates yet but would like some idea. Hope all is
well and you Mother is coping. Tony.
