Title: 28 15n 49 56w

Hi Everybody,

In position 28 15n  49 56w  cog 66 1076nm travelled. Current wind SW at 11kts but squally. One minute 11kts the next 35kts keeping us on our toes. We have seen all kinds of weather over the last 24 hours. At one point we had no wind, thunder, sun and rain all at the same time. Yesterday we had torrential rain for most of the day and then 35kts of wind and a lumpy sea all night. Everybody fine just a little weary and the boat feels damp. Need good sunny day to dry everything out.

Me again. You`ll gather from the above that we had an exciting night. Fortunately the gale was from the right direction so we were able to make up a few miles.Trip so far is 1077.nm.another 1400 to go! Superb chicken curry last night courtesy of Russ.Hope all OK chez nous. Mike.

a night to remember (oh no that was the titanic) just got up spent last night sat out in a force 8 gale very rough seas the only place worse was the bow cabin so stayed on deck                    at about 2 in the morning a huge freak wave as high as the boom decided to break on the deck in pitch darkness saw my life flash before my eyes     was under water for a few sounds     everyone was woken  thought we hit something          on a good note we had a stowaway on board a little bird he first found shelter on deck from the wind and rain but found his way in the boat and was perched on the phone and for a couple of hours kept us amused landing on us and eating crumbs off the galley floor    russ

Hi Pam and all  Big crash when the wave landed but apart from general wetness Mike's pipe was put out!!  Quite a hard day / night yesterday.  Bright sunshine again now.  Adam has just caught a mackerel - lot of work not a lot of fish.  Weather predictions are a waste of time I've concluded.  Good to see Azores and us on one plotter page. If we turned due east we would hit Canary isles.  Txt soon Dick

Hey all, hope all is well.  Interesting day so far.  Started off well, had a squall come across with 33knots of wind and the boat only had one reef in the main.  I had to go outside and let some sails out and reef the foresails but it was poring down.  Got soaked through.  Suns out now mind and ive just caught a spanish mackerel which is now gutted and in the fridge ready for starters!
well i better get back to the sun
x
