Hi Everybody,
Sorry for the late posting but I am pleased to
announce we have arrived. Position 37 44 306n 25 39 859w SOG 0
A frustrating last few days with storm force winds
and huge seas all coming from the direction we wanted to go. So much for the
Azores high. We have done 2529nm and i could not have asked for a better
crew a little battered and bruised and very glad to be on land.
Yo, at last, quite, still boat :) love it.
Feeling a little battered spent the day since 9 oclock helming the boat by hand
cause the autopilot gave up 2 days ago. All fun and games theres a real
sence of achievement on the boat. Me and Russ are now going to the whale
watching trips to see if we can go out and see some proper whales. I think
also a fishing trip is in order to make up for the crap efforts on the way
across. See you all soon Adam x
i think the last few days of my life seem like they
were the longest so close to land but what a job to get there 40 knt winds right
up to the harbour still mission acomplished russ
Well as you can see we have arrived in the Azores
somewhat battered and bruised, some more than others.
A great trip, a great experience with which I shall
be happy to bore you for some time to come. Tony
Pam and all Here safe and sound in wind
Azores. Just the 40knt of wind to welcome us in. Adam parked nicely
and beer is open. The joys of the very nearest bar and restaurant, eatery
etc await. Hard last few days but worth it now
for the achievement. Tx all of you soon Ta for your correspondence
over the last weeks. Dick
All Hail. The eagle has landed. You will gather the
weather etc. from the above. Like Tony, I`ll be able to bore many a dinner party
with our exploits. Just managed an interim shower, save the proper one till I
get back. Regards to Lucy & Robert. Mike. x.
